2-D & 3-D WALL ART
Found materials such as metal, wood, plastic and enamel are crafted intol durable "Long-Life" surfaces for oil paintings, photographs and drawings to be mounted on. Currently, there are 300 hundered large 2-dimentional artworks being prepared for Waste Art's future zero-waste art exhibitions.
3-dimensional artwork (Example; The red guitar next to Lance Armstrong) incorporates the actual objects into the art as opposed to a picture or rendition of it because it better expresses the intention of the artwork. 3-dimensional art is observed in terms of its height, width and depth. It is not flat like two-dimensional art, which consists of paintings, drawings and photographs. Pottery and sculpture are other examples of three-dimensional art.
Quote from Waste Art's Founder;
"We throw away used pens, razors, tools, appliances, construction waste and a lot more without a thought each and every day, but they’re not without value. Every pound of trash we save and convert to art today will be a valulable object we are leaving behind for our descendants sustainable economy, culture and zero-waste society!"
